I have also checked fuel line/common rail sensors and they seem to be working ok! Checked the not so obvious coolant temperature sensor because it was been reported to be the problem with some Audi Q7 3.0 TDI engine troubles in another forum. It did not helped either. The engine still wont start, it cranks but then nothing.

Check the battery and the terminal cable connections. If they look really corroded, you need to clean the battery posts and cable connectors or replace the cables and try to start the engine. Also check the starter. The solenoid attached to the top of the starter can fail, as well as the components inside.
Mesquite77. Yikes, per servce manual have to remove basically all the rear trim, some carpet, switches, lights etc., all to get at 4 lousy bolts residing under the cargo floor supports (the 1.5 inch strip between 3rd row seats and sides). The wife will never agree to this, roof raack time I think.

Just remove and plug. Now that the cooler and lines are removed, all that is left is the coolant lines. EGR removal: Carefully (can't be stressed enough) remove the vacuum lines (2) that go to the EGR assembly (remember which one goes where). The one that goes to the "anti-shutter" flap has a plastic nipple that is prone to breakage.
